Position Summary

The Lab Assistant plays a vital role in patient care by performing phlebotomy services for both inpatients and outpatients in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner. This position is also responsible for supporting laboratory operations through various essential functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and minimal patient discomfort
  • Collect and properly label blood specimens as ordered by physicians
  • Ensure specimens are handled and transported according to laboratory standards

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or equivalent training and experience
  • One year of prior experience preferred
Certifications
