The company specializes in connecting technology leaders with critical data to create intelligent systems and drive informed, strategic decisions. By leveraging cutting-edge AI innovations, Cobalt plays a crucial role in enabling transformative advancements across industries. Our mission is to empower teams with the expert data they need to innovate and excel in their domains.

Role Description

This is a full-time role based in San Francisco for an Account Executive, specializing in Healthcare AI Data. The Account Executive will manage relationships with healthcare clients to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth. They will actively contribute to new business development efforts to expand Cobalt's footprint in the healthcare space.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years selling into healthcare technology, health systems, or healthcare AI/ML teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technical data or software products to non-technical buyers (product, clinical informatics, operations).
  • Comfort selling complex, consultative deals; typical ACV $50K–$500K, 30–90 day sales cycle.
  • Experience prospecting into health-tech companies, digital health, or AI-in-healthcare vendors (not just health systems or payers).

  • Strong written communication: you will be writing proposals, executive briefings, and client communications.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous early-stage environment; we move quickly and iterate constantly.

What you'll do

  • Own outbound prospecting into healthcare AI companies.
  • Run full sales cycles: discovery, demos, proposal, and close; typically selling to VP/C-suite product, data, and ML leaders.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified accounts using cutting edge sales tooling and warm introductions.
  • Partner with the CEO and research lead to translate technical product capabilities into compelling commercial narratives.
  • Negotiate and close data services contracts; including training data, benchmark datasets, and ongoing evaluation partnerships.
  • Represent Cobalt at industry events, conferences, and investor-portfolio company networks (e.g., Alumni Ventures healthtech).
  • Feed market intelligence back into product and positioning; your customer conversations will shape what we build.

Compensation and benenfits

  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission.
  • Potential for early-stage equity.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment - SF-based team.
  • Direct access to founders and outsized career upside as the company scales.
