Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Surgery
Job Details:
  • Seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a vascular surgery team in an inpatient setting
  • Responsibilities include vascular surgery patient management and crisis intervention
  • Perform daily rounding and assessment of new vascular consultations throughout the hospital
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care and assist on operative cases as needed
  • Manage patient discharges and collaborate with Vascular Surgery Attending Physicians and other medical providers
  • Full-time, rotating schedule with premium differentials offered
  • No call required
  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to specialists and other health team members
  • Provide treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
  • Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • New graduates are welcome to apply; 2+ years of vascular surgery experience preferred
  • Utilizes EPIC for clinical documentation and informatics
