Job description

Position Summary

The Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting clinical and operational data to support informed decision-making across the organization. This role partners with clinical, operational, and IT teams to develop reports, dashboards, and insights that improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, analyze, and validate data from clinical systems (e.g., EHR, financial, operational systems)
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Excel
  • Support hospital operations through reporting on key metrics (e.g., DNFB, LOS, case mix index, patient volumes)
  • Collaborate with clinical, finance, and operational teams to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms
  • Assist in regulatory and compliance reporting (e.g., HCAI, CMS, internal audits)
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Support data requests from leadership, departments, and external stakeholders
  • Document reporting processes, data definitions, and workflows
  • Participate in data validation, testing, and system upgrades (e.g., EHR enhancements, migrations)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (Masters preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis (healthcare experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
