Responsibilities

Supports organization-wide quality improvement efforts through the management of the hospital's quality information management system to include the facilitation of installation, upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance of the system.  Serves as an expert resource for the organization regarding the collection, analysis and reporting of data.  Collaborates internally across all departments/disciplines as well as externally with vendor to ensure that the quality information management system effectively meets the needs of the organization and end-users.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a health-related or information systems field
  • Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience in evaluating, refining and improving clinical data collection.
  • PREFERRED

     

  • PHD in Information/Computer Systems or health related field.
  • Previous experience in a consulting capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing programs to support clinical data collection.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and experience in the use of statistical applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers and microcomputer applications to include graphic presentation, statistical analysis, and spreadsheet software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills: demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and meet required deadlines.
