Job description

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Certified Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI) located in Westover, Maryland.

The Certified Wound Care RN assesses deep wounds, skin tears, ostomies, severe burns, pressure injuries and bedsores and diabetic foot wounds. This person will work closely with staff to promote healing and is required to stay up to date on current wound care recommendations and products.
Qualifications:
  • Active RN license to practice in Maryland.
  • Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education Program or Wound Care Certification (WCC).
  • Minimum of two years (in the past five years) work experience as a RN preferred in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility.
  • Knowledge of wound care recommendations and products.
  • Experience working in corrections preferred.
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
