The Role:

Medcan is recruiting for a part-timeDermatology Nurse, RN or RPN, to join our growing high-performance nursing team. We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude who is able to work independently and as part of a team.

The role is accountable for the effective delivery of nursing services for clients during their Dermatology appointments and associated follow-up care. The successful candidate should have a passion for cosmetic and medical dermatology, be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task in their duties.

WhatYou'llDo:

  • Assist Dermatologists with biopsies and medical procedures as directed by the physician
  • Perform post-procedure wound care
  • Assist with preparation, client comfort, and safety during cosmetic treatments
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care as necessary
  • Clinical documentation and following up with client medical inquiries
  • Inventory management of medical supplies
  • Monitor and facilitate the flow of patients through the clinic
  • Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service

WhatYou'llNeed:

  • Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Nursing experience in a dermatology office environment is an asset
  • Current CPR/BCLS certification
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word

This is a part-time position floating Nurse to provide clinical support across our Kingsway (East Tower, 3250 Bloor St W 10th Floor, Etobicoke) and Toronto (150 York Street) locations. This role is scheduled for two days per week, with shifts at our Kingsway clinic on Tuesdays and our Toronto clinic on Thursdays, and may occasionally require Saturday coverage, typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00.

Position Pay Range:

Pay is determined based on your RN registration date.

  • 1 year: $35.47

  • 2 years: $36.54

  • 3 years: $38.39

  • 4 years: $39.98

  • 5 years: $41.94

  • 6 years: $43.87

  • 7 years: $47.08

  • 8+ years: $50.85

The above figures are an hourly rate. All amounts are in CAD.

Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within our nursing grid. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
