What is a Clinic RN?

Clinic RNs, or Registered Nurses working in a clinic setting, are healthcare professionals who provide patient care, administer medications, assist with procedures, and help coordinate patient treatment plans. They often work in outpatient facilities, physician offices, or specialty clinics, supporting physicians and other healthcare staff. Clinic RNs also conduct patient assessments, educate patients about health conditions, and help manage chronic illnesses. Their role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of clinics and delivering high-quality patient care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Clinic RN?

To thrive as a Clinic RN, you need a solid background in patient assessment, clinical procedures, and nursing principles, usually supported by an active RN license and relevant clinical experience. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs), office-based diagnostic equipment, and immunization protocols is common in this role. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy outpatient environment set top performers apart. These abilities ensure efficient, patient-centered care and smooth clinic operations, directly impacting patient outcomes and satisfaction.

What are some common challenges Clinic RNs face in balancing patient care with administrative duties?

Clinic RNs often juggle direct patient care with administrative responsibilities such as documentation, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating with insurance providers. Time management is crucial, as prioritizing patient needs while ensuring accurate records and compliance can be demanding, especially in busy clinics. Building strong communication skills and staying organized helps RNs manage these challenges effectively, while support from fellow nurses and administrative staff can also ease the workload.

Registered Nurse (Primary Care & IV Therapy)

Cottonwood, AZ

Part-time

Posted 11 days ago

Job description

FIND Healthcareers is a healthcare recruitment firm led by professionals who operate within the system — not outside of it. We partner with growing healthcare organizations across the U.S. to build clinical, operational, and leadership teams that improve how care is delivered.

We recruit across the full spectrum of healthcare talent — from Licensed Practical Nurses and Physicians to practice managers and operational leaders. Whether through direct hire, contract, or temp-to-hire placements, we connect candidates with environments where they can perform and organizations with people who actually move the needle.

Backed by strong relationships across healthcare networks and training programs, we don't just fill roles — we align talent with real-world operational needs.

Registered Nurse (RN) — Primary Care & IV Therapy

Sedona, Arizona | In-Clinic | Part-Time

FIND Healthcareers is recruiting a Registered Nurse for Agave Adult Medical Care (www.agavemedicalcare.com), a Sedona clinic providing personalized primary care, wellness services, and coordinated specialty access.

This is an in-clinic, patient-facing position supporting Agave's Nurse Practitioner. The RN will assist with daily patient care, provide IV and injectable therapies, and help maintain an organized and welcoming clinical environment.

Agave's back-office team handles most scheduling, laboratory orders, and routine administrative coordination, allowing this RN to remain focused primarily on clinical care.

What You'll Do
  • Support the NP during primary care, wellness, and follow-up visits.

  • Complete patient intake, vital signs, medication review, and clinical documentation.

  • Prepare patients and examination rooms for appointments.

  • Perform venipuncture and establish peripheral IV access.

  • Prepare, administer, monitor, and discontinue IV infusions according to provider orders and clinic protocols.

  • Administer medications and injections as ordered.

  • Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing.

  • Educate patients about treatments, medications, and follow-up care.

  • Monitor patients and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or clinical concerns.

  • Maintain treatment rooms, clinical supplies, IV inventory, and required logs.

  • Assist with patient messages, clinic flow, and light in-clinic administrative work.

  • Coordinate with the NP and Agave's back-office team to ensure patient needs are addressed.

What We're Looking For
  • Active Arizona RN license or valid multistate license permitting practice in Arizona.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Strong IV placement, venipuncture, and infusion-monitoring skills.

  • At least two years of nursing experience preferred.

  • Primary care, outpatient, infusion, urgent care, or wellness-clinic experience preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills.

  • A dependable, patient-centered RN who is comfortable working closely with an NP in a smaller clinic setting.

Why This Role

Agave offers a relationship-driven care environment focused on giving patients more time, attention, and coordinated support. This is an opportunity to join a growing clinic, work closely with an NP, and play a meaningful role in both primary care and wellness services.

FIND Healthcareers presents a limited number of highly qualified candidates to each client. Our focus is long-term fit—not high-volume placement.

Interested? Submit your profile to be considered for this opportunity.

We don't just place candidates — we work inside healthcare operations every day. That means we understand what actually works on the ground. If you're looking for a role where that matters, we encourage you to apply.
