Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology Infusion RN requiring current chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification and a minimum of one year of outpatient infusion experience.

  • Performs chemotherapy and immunotherapy drug administration, PO and SC injections, and IV infusions
  • Assists with conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
Requirements
  • Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate (ONS)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient oncology infusion experience with current chemotherapy certification
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed medications while monitoring patient response and physiological data
  • Provide patient and family education on chemotherapy treatments, side effects, and clinic procedures
  • Coordinate patient follow-up care, referrals, and phone triage after clinic visits
  • Delegate tasks to support staff and collaborate with physicians and medical personnel
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and update physician orders accordingly
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Local candidates within the radius are not eligible for this position
  • Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
  • Returning travelers may only extend a contract once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
