A Clinic-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works in a clinical setting, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals, often children, with autism or other developmental disabilities. RBTs implement treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help clients develop essential skills, such as communication, social interaction, and daily living activities. They use evidence-based techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones. In a clinic setting, RBTs may work with multiple clients throughout the day, collaborate with other professionals, and receive ongoing supervision and training to ensure high-quality care.

Clinic Based RBTs are responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), working directly with clients to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. Daily tasks often include running structured activities, collecting and recording behavioral data, preparing materials for therapy sessions, and collaborating with clinical supervisors and other team members. You will also participate in regular team meetings, discuss client progress, and may occasionally interact with families to provide updates or support. This role requires flexibility and attention to detail, as each session is customized to meet the unique needs of individual clients.

To thrive as a Clinic Based RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), you need a solid understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, completion of the RBT certification, and experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
