Job Description

PiTal Staffing Worldwide Inc. is looking to hire experienced/Certified Tree Climbers

All must know their knots bowline, running bowline, half hitch with a bowline, and taut-line hitch to get out of a tree.

In case of emergency must also know how to inspect the tree for signs of rot or decay should be QCLA if not will have to go through the class with us to get it and will be a trainee for18 months must know how to fall a tree using proper notch's and back cuts leaving enough hinge wood

Also, how to set up signs and establish a drop zone and 3-way communication and rigging techniques and understand what mad is which is: minimum approach distance to power lines

Tree Trimmer/Climber brief job description: Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, ropes and a variety of other gear to cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintain right-of-way for roads, sidewalks, utilities, or to improve appearance, health, and value of the tree.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license; Class A or B commercial license preferred but not required.Minimum of 1-year experience. Must be willing to become a member of IBEW Local 1245 Union. Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen, and criminal background investigation required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The work is very heavy work, which requires exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. The amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
Handling: Picking, holding, or otherwise working, primarily with the whole hand
Mental Acuity: Ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes.
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
Visual Acuity 4: Have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
