The Tree Care Groundsman is responsible for hauling and chipping brush, using a chainsaw safely, cleaning and organizing work areas, inspecting, and helping other crew members with tasks and continually learning new things.  Come work with us at Moon Valley Nursery and we will train and develop you into a great paying career!

• Hauling and chipping branches.
• Using small tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and other applicable equipment.
• Cleaning, organizing and following tasks as a crew to take care of our clients.
• Willing to learn and grow to become even better.
• Other duties as assigned.

• General laborer with experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
• Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.

   High School diploma or equivalent.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. 

This position is full time and may be scheduled any of the 7 days of the week. Must be able to pass drug screen.

El equipo de jardinería realiza el trabajo manual para ayudar en el mantenimiento, almacenamiento y cumplimiento de los pedidos de los clientes en el vivero de jardinería.

• Transportar y mezclar tierra vegetal, fertilizantes, turba y otros materiales para acondicionar el suelo, usando herramientas manuales.
• Excavar, rastrillar y tamizar la tierra y llenar cubos y cajas para prepararlos para la siembra.

• Se prefiere trabajador en general con experiencia en herramientas eléctricas, herramientas manuales y otros equipos.
• Capaz de seguir instrucciones y protocolos de seguridad específicos.

Mientras realiza las tareas de este trabajo, el empleado debe hablar y escuchar regularmente. Esta posición es muy activa y requiere estar de pie, caminar, agacharse, arrodillarse, agacharse, gatear y trepar todo el día. El empleado debe levantar y/o mover con frecuencia artículos de más de 50 libras. Capaz de trabajar al aire libre durante períodos prolongados de tiempo en condiciones posiblemente extremas, incluyendo la lluvia, el calor, el sol y el viento.

Este puesto es de tiempo completo y se puede programar cualquiera de los 7 días de la semana. Debe poder pasar la prueba de detección de drogas.
