The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor is responsible for administering and continuously improving Environmental, Health & Safety programs for the El Paso Distribution Center. This position serves as the site's primary EHS resource, supporting regulatory compliance, risk reduction, injury prevention, safety culture development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The EHS Supervisor partners with site leadership and employees to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements while promoting a safe and healthy work environment. This role supports safety programs, employee training, compliance audits, incident investigations, emergency preparedness activities, and continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role that requires daily engagement on the warehouse floor. The successful candidate will help strengthen a proactive safety culture by working closely with supervisors and employees throughout the facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer and continuously improve site EHS programs to support compliance with OSHA, EPA, company policies, and applicable regulations.

  • Serve as the facility's EHS resource and support site leadership in maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, safety committees, training, and behavioral safety initiatives.

  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace inspections to identify hazards and support corrective actions.

  • Support investigations of injuries, near misses, and safety incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop, maintain, and administer required EHS programs, policies, procedures, OSHA records, OSHA 300 logs, and related documentation.

  • Ensure employees, contractors, and visitors receive required safety training and comply with established safety requirements.

  • Support environmental compliance activities, including hazardous material handling, waste management, spill prevention, and reporting requirements.

  • Support facility projects, process changes, and operational initiatives to ensure EHS risks are identified and mitigated before implementation.

  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate EHS performance metrics and trends to site leadership.

  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, response planning, and interactions with local emergency agencies.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and compliance.

  • Coordinate site safety committee activities and employee engagement programs.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Spend significant time in operational areas conducting observations, coaching employees, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work behaviors.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years of EHS, safety, compliance, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial experience.

  • Experience supporting OSHA compliance programs and safety management activities.

  • Experience participating in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse/distribution center safety practices.

  • OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.

  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or CBSL initiatives.

  • Experience supporting environmental compliance activities.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred
