This role is integral to the growth and success of the Structured Finance Division, requiring a proactive approach to business development, client relationship management, and industry engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development - Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with prospective clients. Develop and execute a strategy to meet or exceed annual new business funding targets. Leverage industry networks, referral sources, and marketing strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads.
  • Sales and Client Relationship Management - Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client financial requirements and present tailored financing solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and industry associations. Represent the Structured Finance Division at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote services and build the division's brand.
  • Structuring and Closing Deals - Work collaboratively with internal underwriting, operations, and credit teams to structure and close deals efficiently. Ensure all deals align with the division's credit policies and risk appetite. Negotiate terms and pricing with clients while maintaining a focus on achieving profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Market and Industry Expertise: Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and changes in the factoring and ABL landscape. Provide feedback to leadership regarding market conditions and opportunities for product or service enhancements.
  • Pipeline and Portfolio Management - Build and maintain a robust pipeline with clearly defined stages and next steps. Generate a balanced portfolio of deals across various industries and credit profiles.

Secondary Responsibilities:

* Possess the initiative to obtain education related to sustainability practices.

* Demonstrate an understanding of and follow established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations, cognizant of transactions, inquiries that appear suspicious, obtaining reasonable and verifiable explanations, notifying the Compliance Officer when necessary; completion of all web-based compliance training; resolution of all issues concerning BSA report reviews of suspicious activity and or cash transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

    * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a business development role.

    * Strong knowledge of factoring and ABL products, including underwriting and credit analysis principles.

    * Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    * Proficiency in CRM tools and financial analysis software.

    * Minimum of 5 years of experience in factoring, ABL, or commercial finance.

    Physical Demands:

    Sustained standing and sitting;

    Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;

    Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
