Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Data Centers) - REIC Rentals
Are you an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician looking to work on mission-critical equipment in one of the fastest-growing industries? REIC Rentals is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our Data Center customers throughout Northeast Virginia. In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing and maintaining temporary climate control equipment that keeps critical facilities operating safely and efficiently.
You'll serve as a trusted technical expert, ensuring our rental fleet-including cooling, heating, dehumidification, ventilation, and environmental control equipment-is operating at peak performance both in our shop and at customer data center locations.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and temporary climate control equipment supporting data center operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and power equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Install, start up, and commission rental equipment at customer sites
  • Provide exceptional customer service and basic operational training to customers
  • Accurately document service work, inspections, and repairs using electronic service systems
  • Travel throughout Northeast Virginia to support customer locations
  • Follow all company and customer safety procedures, including strict data center safety protocols

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Experience servicing mission-critical facilities or data centers is highly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, package units, air handlers, and temporary climate control systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and work overtime when needed
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
