Job Title: Maintenance Technician โ€“ 3rd ShiftAbout Rittal

Rittal LLC has built a strong tradition of innovation and takes pride in a progressive approach to engineering. We design and manufacture the worldโ€™s leading industrial and IT enclosures, racks, and accessories, including high-efficiency, high-density power management, and climate control systems for industrial, data center, outdoor, and hybrid applications.

Primary Activities/Duties
  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.
  • Perform work order repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
  • Operate mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating booms.
  • Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Maintain professional and courteous conduct while carrying a phone during work hours.
  • Maintain 5S standards throughout the facility.
  • Support the Rittal Production System through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety Requirements
  • Wear safety-toed footwear.
  • Safety glasses with side shields.
  • Hearing protection.
  • Additional personal protective equipment as required.
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shift.
  • Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds to waist level.
  • Frequently lift 25โ€“50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above shoulder level.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 90 feet.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, and high noise levels.
  • May be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Regular use of cleaning solvents, oils, lubricants, and other substances.
  • Must be available to work any shift.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports and communicate effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn maintenance software for data entry and parts research.
