Account Executive - Client Expansion

HOW YOUโ€™LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

This is a full-time sales position responsible for expanding MountainSeedโ€™s relationships with existing MarketPlace clients. The Account Executive โ€“ Client Expansion โ€“ MarketPlace will identify, develop, and close opportunities for additional MountainSeed products and services, including Environmentals, Site Inspections, AVMs, and other products. This role requires a consultative, account-based sales approach. The Account Executive will build a deep understanding of each assigned clientโ€™s business, lending activity, operational behaviors, service needs, strategic priorities, and use of MountainSeedโ€™s existing solutions. Using those insights, this individual will identify relevant expansion opportunities, articulate the value of additional products, and guide opportunities through the full sales cycle.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUโ€™LL GET TO:

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual expansion-revenue goals within the existing Marketplace client base.
  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned Marketplace clients, including their business model, lending activity, operational workflows, and current use of MountainSeed products.
  • Identify and prioritize cross-sell based on client behavior, needs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Own the complete sales cycle for cross-sell and expansion opportunities, from initial discovery through proposal, negotiation, close, and post-sale transition.
  • Use Salesforce.com to document key stakeholder information, opportunity activity, sales-stage progression, next steps, and forecasting data.
  • Partner with Client Development, Client Success, Operations, and other internal teams to identify, develop, and advance cross-sell opportunities.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations with existing clients to understand current challenges, future initiatives, operational gaps, regulatory needs, and opportunities to improve outcomes through additional MountainSeed solutions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and provide clear visibility into monthly and quarterly expansion-revenue goals, pipeline coverage, and anticipated close dates.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, pipeline reviews, account-planning sessions, quarterly business reviews, and other sales or revenue-team activities.
  • Travel approximately 10% or more, as needed, to build client relationships, conduct meetings, support strategic opportunities, and exceed sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key prospect stakeholders
  • Ensure a smooth post-sale handoff to Client Success while remaining engaged to support adoption and identify future expansion opportunities.

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 6+ yearsโ€™ experience or a combination of experience, education, and superior performance
  • 5+ years of experience in quota carrying B2B Enterprise level products, services and/or related technologies, preferably in financial services
  • Demonstrated ability to identify executive decision makers, build credibility with client executives and sell to the C-suite
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue within existing accounts through cross-sell, upsell, expansion, renewals, or strategic account-development initiatives.
  • Organized, efficient, and able to maintain high level of production while also demonstrating process and administrative excellence
  • Strong record of previous B2B Sales performance
  • Formal sales training is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable with a rapidly changing workspace
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time-management, project-management, and prioritization skills, with keen attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com.
