Job Title

Director, Client Solutions Engineer – Fiserv for Platforms

What does a successful Director, Client Solutions Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a Client Solutions Engineer for Fiserv for Platforms, you are a product and technical lead who partners with Sales to win complex platform, marketplace, PayFac, and ISV opportunities. You own solution positioning from first technical discovery through hand-off to integration teams—shaping architecture, validating feasibility, and driving confidence to close.

You combine deep payments and platform expertise with strong commercial instincts, helping platform clients understand how Fiserv enables growth, monetization, and scale, not just how the technology works. This role is for someone who thrives in highstakes sales cycles and takes accountability for revenue outcomes.

What you will do
  • Act as a senior technical client-facing leader for Fiserv for Platforms, owning solution design and technical confidence through close
  • Partner directly with Sales to qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, and accelerate sales cycles
  • Lead discovery with platform executives, product leaders, and architects to uncover business models, monetization goals, and growth constraints
  • Translate client needs into compelling, outcomeoriented solution narratives across onboarding, payins, funds flow, payouts, and embedded finance
  • Design and present platform architectures, APIs, and fund flows that balance client needs, compliance, and commercial viability
  • Identify and address technical, operational, and regulatory risks early to unblock deals and reduce latestage friction
  • Differentiate Fiserv versus competitors by clearly articulating tradeoffs, scalability, and timetomarket advantages
  • Influence pricing and commercial discussions by aligning solution scope, effort, and value delivered
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to validate roadmap alignment and secure dealcritical commitments when required
  • Support contract execution by ensuring technical accuracy in solution descriptions, scopes, and assumptions
  • Provide structured feedback to Product on market gaps and emerging platform needs based on active deal conversations
What you will need to have
  • 8+ years of experience in clientfacing technical sales, solutions engineering, or presales roles for enterprise technology platforms
  • Proven track record of supporting and closing complex, multistakeholder deals
  • 5+ years of experience with APIdriven platforms, integrations, and modern SaaS architectures
  • 5+ years of experience in payments, acquiring, PayFacs, marketplaces, or embedded financial services
  • Strong understanding of platform economics, fund flows, onboarding/KYC/KYB models, settlements, and payouts
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and commercial outcomes
  • Experience partnering with Sales teams in quotacarrying or revenuealigned environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
What would be great to have
  • Experience selling platform or embedded payments solutions at companies like Stripe, Adyen, and Payoneer
  • Direct ownership of technical workstreams in $1M+ enterprise deals
  • Familiarity with marketplace and PayFac regulatory frameworks and card network requirements
  • Experience influencing deal pricing, scope tradeoffs, and implementation models
  • Comfort presenting to executives, including CTOs, CPOs, and Heads of Payments
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity and move fast in competitive, highgrowth environments
