Job description

Job Duties: Senior Associate, Client Services - Operations with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Holistic ownership and understanding of client accounts from a Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Operations perspective by coordinating client issues across all operations teams supporting Retail Separately Managed Accounts. Act as a point of contact for Asset & Wealth Management Operations. Assess existing processes and provide functional inputs to improve workflows to support business scale, while ensuring progress on ongoing project deliverables. Ensure accounting data accuracy and provide oversight in order to create controlled environment for investment management process. Support the team of Portfolio Administrators in ensuring integrity of internal books and records. Coordinate and track tasks across a multi-disciplined team (e.g. Engineering, Portfolio Management, Business Intelligence) to ensure all operational information relating to an account event is received and systems are set up prior to account trading activity. Provide timely trading desk support inclusive of cash management, position levels and other ad-hoc queries as well as ongoing business initiatives. Proactively review indicators of operational issues/concerns with the goal of resolving such issues before client impact. Engage with cross functional teams to drive and push tactical and strategic solutions. Review account level metrics (i.e. reconciling items on cash/position/tax lot reconciliations, corporate actions, failing trades and standard/non-standard exception management) as defined by operating standards and research, escalate, remediate exceptions as appropriate. Provide effective thought leadership in navigating day-to-day Operational support concerns and supporting broad initiatives of New System/Workflow rollouts and/or New Investment Product Launches. Scalability analysis of workflow cost drivers and trends to help drive process improvements and efficiency, budgeting and cost allocation to various revenue producing desks using automation tools and engineering builds.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics or a related field and one (1) year of experience in job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics or a related field and three (3) year of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior work experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's) with each of the following: extracting client investment data and running financial analysis across multiple systems, applying appropriate analytical methods to identify key drivers, validate results, and maintain financial ledger accuracy; managing timesensitive projects with consistent delivery quality, track requirements, document progress, and ensure adherence to established deliverable timelines; identifying and implementing work automation opportunities using low code platforms (such as Alteryx, Tableau, SQL etc.) to reduce manual processes and mitigate operational risk; identify and evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline operational workflows, and building ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data flows to ingest data into data visualization tools (Excel, Tableau etc.); utilize MS Office tools, including Outlook, to effectively communicate and manage Portfolio Management/Sales queries; ensure execution of supervisory controls and accurate completion of CloseofDay processes, conducting detailed reviews of workflows completion, reconciliation outputs, and riskbased scenarios to maintain process integrity; and triaging live portfolio administration and trade support scenarios ensuring accurate and timely middleoffice processing.
