  • Three years Laboratory assistant or Client Services assistant experience preferred

Duties &
Responsibilities:

Job Summary
The Client Services Supervisor administers and coordinates a client services program within the frame work of the established policies.
Duties
  • Maintains contact with established accounts on a regular basis, either by phone or in person as needed
  • Stays informed about product lines, new tests, and the perpetual needs of the clients
  • Research inquires and / or products for all customers
  • Coordinates patients and specimen flow in the Laboratory Clinic, Patient Service Centers, and Client Services
  • Ensure accuracy of requests, receive and process biological samples, and perform designated lab tests
  • Maintain client services and take steps to resolve problems
  • Reports to Administrative Lab Director all unusual and / or non-routine inquiries to ensure client satisfaction
  • Coordinates client services functions with Administrative Lab Director
  • Trains client service personnel
  • Communicates, implements, and interprets client service policies and procedures with clients, client service personnel, maintains a positive, client / patient focused attitude
  • Investigates prolonged client service dissatisfaction for Administrative Lab Director and recommends a course of action
  • Maintains a working relationship with Lab Billing department and Registration
  • Tracks send out tests for possible in-house testing
  • Prepares schedules for client services
  • Accounts for sick time, hiring, and disciplinary action when needed
  • Works closely with Laboratory Scientists and fulfills their needs when possible
  • Maintains a good relationship with Administrative Lab Director, Lab Supervisors, and Phlebotomy Supervisor
  • Abides by Oroville Hospital Human Resource policies with issues concerning laboratory personnel
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
  • Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Lifting Requirements:
Must have fine motor coordination, clear speech, normal hearing and good visual acuity with ability to distinguish major colors. Must be able to move readily from one location to another in the hospital and within the lab.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, or controls; each with hands and arms; and talk to hear. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand for extended periods, occasionally required to sit, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. Generally lifting objects not more than 50 lbs. and/or carrying objects weighing 25 lbs.
