Job Summary:

As the Client Analyst, you will be joining an experienced and dynamic team consulting on, preparing, and quality reviewing 401(a)/(k), 403(b), and 457(b) retirement plan documents for new and existing plans. Focusing on more complex implementation (new business) and maintenance (existing business) assignments, you will coordinate with recordkeepers, financial professionals, and plan sponsors to complete plan-level reviews, provider searches, and benchmarking studies, as well as maintain all fiduciary and governance documentation. All work passes through a quality-review process to ensure our clients' needs are met while maintaining the highest level of quality standards and client service.


The Client Analyst will partner with other plan professionals to collect data, as well as research, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues that may arise. Additionally, they will work with our internal staff to confirm the accuracy of underlying data to ensure reports are accurate, and fully support our consultants and client's needs. The Client Analyst must maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, be well organized, service oriented, and capable of performing under tight deadlines. The successful Client Analyst likes helping others achieve their goals, is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute client deliverables to high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Maintain documentation of sound fiduciary and governance processes
  • Perform detailed document reviews, evaluating for fiduciary best practices, and identifying potential risks to client
  • Serve as a technical resource for clients, team members, and business partners on plan governance, compliance, and fiduciary best practices. 
  • Foster positive relationships and ensuring client satisfaction and retention 
  • Follow team processes and procedures, while evaluating and recommending improvements to increase client satisfaction and team effectiveness, promote efficiency, and maintain high quality standards
  • Attend client meetings along with Consultants; take meeting minutes and notes
  • Conduct plan reviews, fee benchmarking studies and provider RFPs
  • Participate in internal research projects and special client assignments as needed
  • Serve as advocate and liaison for client with custodians, recordkeepers and third party administrators

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • 0 - 3 years of investment related experience (defined contributions plans preferred)
  • Adaptability to change while striving to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Highly dependable with strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to work independently and proactively and deadline driven
  • Genuine desire to work hard 

Preferences:

  • Knowledge of IRS and DOL rules governing retirement plans
  • Understanding of financial markets and financial services companies
  • Knowledge of different custodians and platforms
  • Experience with retirement plans
  • Knowledge of investment consulting principles, and fiduciary and governance processes
