UMB's Private Wealth Management takes a holistic and collaborative approach to advise our clients on the investment plan that makes the most sense for their personal financial goals. Working as the Client Service Specialist II, you will partner with assigned Financial Advisor(s) acting as the point of contact for all sales and service related activities including client development and prospecting, on boarding, new account openings, and general maintenance activities playing a critical role in transitioning business opportunities. You will partner with the Advisor(s) to drive new business and retain/grow existing business while delivering the highest level of customer experience possible to the clients. You will be responsible for delivering a high level of support in a high-risk environment which is fast paced with frequently changing priorities. You will utilize your research skills, team problem solving, and collaborative information sharing to provide the best possible solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for the day to day support and will focus on providing personalized and tailored interaction as needed. You will be responsible for money moves, maintaining compliance logs, requesting trades, new account processing and service requests. You will prepare various reports, correspondence, and complete special projects such as expense reports, setting of appointments and managing calendars. The role offers opportunity for personal growth whether it's by learning how to interact and connect with different types of clients in different settings or having access to resources to grow in their own personal knowledge of the investment world.

How you'll spend your time:
  • Critical to the operation, you will assist the Financial Advisor in establishing and executing a client communication plan for each segment based on profitability, assets and potential.
  • You will complete all new account processes, verifying all required information is provided on application, complete all transfer of assets and monitor the assets received for verification to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • You will respond to complex customer service problems, questions, and escalate issues from internal and external sources to ensure client satisfaction.
  • You will promote client services, actively engage clients in a manner that maintains and expands business relationships and enhance the Private Wealth image contributing to growth.
