Retention Specialist | Chicago, IL
The Retention Specialist is committed to strengthening client relationships, with a focus on resolving issues and retaining clients. This individual must adeptly address client concerns and effectively communicate the value the firm brings to their portfolio. The role involves developing and implementing a structured process to provide special attention to clients, ensuring their long-term satisfaction and loyalty. The primary objective is to intervene in and enhance relationships at risk, utilizing the firm's full range of resources to restore client confidence and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Establish and nurture client relationships, understanding their unique financial needs and objectives
Proactively resolve client issues and concerns, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention
Conduct regular, in-depth conversations with clients to assess and improve their financial plans and experiences
Develop and implement a process for managing and enhancing client relationships, particularly those at risk
Create and execute tailored retention strategies to address client concerns and enhance satisfaction
Monitor and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Leverage the firm's resources to provide solutions for clients who are unhappy or have specific needs
Offer comprehensive services such as financial planning, estate planning, tax strategy, various investment strategies, and custom portfolio solutions
Coordinate with internal teams and departments to deliver these solutions effectively and efficiently
Provide clients with knowledgeable and prudent financial advice to help them achieve their financial goals
Stay informed about investment products, market trends, and regulatory changes to offer effective advice
Develop and present comprehensive wealth management solutions to address client needs and objectives
Work closely with senior partners and other departments to gather information, coordinate meetings, and deliver comprehensive services
Collaborate with portfolio managers, tax advisors, estate counsel, and other professionals to implement client strategies effectively
Participate in ongoing learning and development to continuously enhance client support capabilities
Ensure compliance with all industry rules, regulations, and firm policies
Produce reports to support client retention efforts and maintain regulatory compliance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
4+ years of experience in financial services, client relationship management, or a related field
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
FINRA Series 63/65 licenses, required
Strong understanding of investment concepts, practices, and procedures in the securities and insurance industries
Excellent communication, presentation, time-management, and organizational skills
Ability to identify and resolve client issues effectively
Goal-oriented individual with a track record in client retention and sales
Experience working with high-net-worth and ultra-high net worth clients, highly desired
Proficient in Salesforce CRM, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with related technology software and planning tools is a plus
