Job description
The Client Relationship Specialist II plays an advanced role in supporting client relationships, managing complex account and service needs, and helping deliver an exceptional client experience. As a trusted partner to Advisors and clients, this position serves as a primary point of contact for sophisticated client situations, including complex account structures, wealth planning initiatives, and ongoing service requests. In addition to client-facing responsibilities, the Client Relationship Specialist II contributes to operational excellence by identifying process improvements, participating in business initiatives, and mentoring less experienced team members.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering a high level of service. This position also serves as a key development opportunity within the Wealth Management career path. Team members who successfully complete all required FINRA licensing requirements and demonstrate proficiency in client relationship management, advisory support, wealth planning processes, and overall job competencies may be eligible for advancement to the Wealth Advisor Associate role.
What You'll Do:
- Manage complex account structures, including trusts, estates, and multi-entity accounts.
- Support wealth planning initiatives in collaboration with Advisors and outside legal and tax professionals.
- Serve as a primary service contact for clients, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries and requests.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client experience and improve service delivery.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Associates and newer Client Relationship Specialists.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends and market developments relevant to client concerns and planning opportunities.
- Collaborate with Advisors to gather client information, prepare reports, and support the development of financial plans and recommendations.
- Assist Advisors with appointment scheduling, meeting preparation, agenda development, and follow-up on action items.
- Support the implementation of client strategies and service plans by coordinating activities across internal and external partners.
- Help ensure accurate maintenance of client records and documentation.
- Participate in projects designed to improve operational processes, systems, workflows, and client service delivery.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall team effectiveness.
- Support client appreciation events, educational seminars, workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
- Assist with traditional and digital marketing activities that strengthen client relationships and support business development efforts.
What You Bring:
- Strong understanding of financial services operations, account administration, and client service best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients, Advisors, and team members.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and financial planning software.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment regarding situations that require Advisor involvement.
- Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure while considering the broader context of a client's financial circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience and fostering long-term client relationships.
Benefits to support you:
- Competitive pay and benefits with a large employer (over 1600 employees nationwide)
- 401(k), health insurance, and a competitive benefits package
- Work in a supportive, collaborative environment committed to professional excellence
- Help clients navigate meaningful financial decisions with confidence
