Job description

My Real Estate Solutions — Mostly Remote (Middle Tennessee)
Full-time | Base salary + commission

Are you detail-oriented and self-driven, the kind of person who takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do?

Do you build trust with people quickly, stay calm when things get complicated, and handle a hard conversation without flinching?

If that sounds like you, keep reading!

My Real Estate Solutions is a family-owned and operated Tennessee real estate company that buys properties directly from homeowners looking for a straightforward, hassle-free sale. Our main focus is pre-foreclosure, though we're also expanding into probate and other niche situations where a direct sale can make a real difference for the homeowner. Most of the people we work with are in a genuinely stressful spot, and how they're treated through the process matters. We're a small, close-knit team, and we're hiring a Client Relations Manager to be one of the most important people in our clients' experience with us.

There's real CRM and detail work in this role, keeping records accurate, follow-ups on time, and every step of a deal tracked and in place, but at its core this is a people role. You'll be the person our sellers build real trust with, their right-hand throughout the entire process, so that when something comes up, they come to you first, before it turns into a bigger problem. You'll also be the connector who keeps our cash buyers engaged and coming back to us first, and the numbers person making sure every offer we put in front of a seller is grounded in reality.

What you'll own:

Client Relations (sellers) — Be the seller's main point of contact from signed contract through closing, and their right-hand person throughout the process. Build the kind of rapport and trust where sellers come to you with a concern before it grows into a bigger problem. Coordinate with our title company, resolve title or ownership issues, help with relocation logistics when needed, and deliver difficult news well when it comes up, for example, when a seller's mortgage payoff balance comes back higher than what they were expecting. All while keeping the CRM and paperwork airtight.

Dispositions (buyers) — Find, build, and maintain relationships with cash buyers and investors. Market properties under contract to our buyer network, and negotiate price and terms to get each deal to assignment and closing. Negotiating with buyers is a real, regular part of this side of the job, so being comfortable holding your ground in that conversation matters.

Underwriting — Run comps and evaluate rehab costs to land on accurate numbers before offers go out to sellers.

A few important expectations:

  • This role requires being available outside of normal business hours when something is time-sensitive, a quick text, a phone call, or getting a document sent over.
  • When contract and deal volume slows down, you'll shift into admin work and other team responsibilities to stay productive. This is a full-time role, and there's always something useful to do.
  • Regular travel to properties is part of the job, not an occasional thing.

Why you might not want this job:

  • You'll work with sellers and buyers who are sometimes difficult, uncooperative, or not fully honest with you, and you'll still have to keep the deal moving.
  • Timelines are tight and the deadlines are real. A foreclosure auction date doesn't move because the week got busy.
  • It can be emotionally taxing. You'll manage expectations and outcomes that are partly outside your control, and you'll have to tell people things they don't want to hear.
  • A lot rests on you. When a deal closes clean, it's usually because you stayed on top of it, and when one goes sideways, you'll feel that too.
  • Sellers keep irregular hours, so you'll take some calls and texts outside of a normal nine to five.

We're telling you this up front because the people who do well here already knew all of that and wanted the job anyway.

This role probably isn't a fit if you:

  • Wait to be told exactly what to do rather than taking initiative
  • Avoid difficult or uncomfortable conversations
  • Get uncomfortable negotiating price or terms
  • Get defensive when you receive constructive feedback
  • Struggle to stay organized or regularly miss details
  • Have a hard time owning it when something goes wrong
  • Would rather work around a problem quietly than raise it and help solve it
  • Consider your responsibilities finished when your preferred tasks are done

Why this job is worth it:

  • Real earnings upside. Base salary plus commission, so the better the deals go, the better you do.
  • You're a key player on a small team, not a number in a department. Your work directly changes how our deals go and how our clients are treated.
  • The work genuinely matters. Most of our sellers are facing foreclosure, and a deal done right changes the trajectory of their year.
  • Room to grow. We're expanding, and the person in this seat gets first look at what opens up next as the team gets bigger.
  • You'll learn the entire deal, seller side, buyer side, title, and numbers, which is knowledge that compounds for the rest of your career.

What we're looking for:

  • Detail-oriented, dependable, coachable, and proactive
  • Strong communicator who can read people, ask the right questions, and handle a hard conversation with tact
  • A problem solver who thinks clearly under pressure and also knows when to ask for help, and is comfortable doing it
  • Resilient and flexible when priorities shift
  • Prior experience in customer service, sales, or a relationship-focused role is a strong plus. Real estate, title, or mortgage experience is a bonus but not required. The right mindset and willingness to learn matter more.

Compensation & details:

  • Full-time, mostly remote. We get together in person as a team at least once a month (sometimes more). You'll need to live local to Middle Tennessee, since this role involves regular visits to properties, buyer meetups, and closings that are typically within about an hour radius of Nashville
  • $50,000 base salary plus commission. Total compensation for this role has averaged $90,000–$110,000/year based on past performance (actual earnings vary with commission)
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Company cell phone provided
  • Reliable vehicle and a computer with fast, consistent internet required

How to apply:
There are two required first steps, and neither is optional: complete the Culture Index survey, and get your resume to us. Until both are done, you won't move forward in our process, no exceptions.

  1. Complete the Culture Index survey. It's a 10-12 minute survey, not a skills test, there are no right or wrong answers, and it helps us understand your natural strengths as they relate to this position. If you come across a word in the survey you don't recognize, take a second and look it up rather than guessing, it matters that you understand what's being asked so your results come back accurate. Copy and paste this link into a new browser window: https://go.cultureindex.com/s/afOIjYXmsw
  2. Submit your resume, whether that's through this platform's apply button or directly emailing.

Once we have both, we'll review and follow up if it looks like a good fit.
