Job Summary:
As a strategic member of a highly collaborative organization, the sales account manager will Identify new business opportunities, manage assigned accounts, and support sales growth activities of the organization. The prospective customers may be in an assigned geographic area, assigned by individual account, by product, or vendor.
Coverage Territory:
The territory covers Georgia and South Carolina
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Relations:
  • Communicating with clients by phone, through email and face-to-face to ensure their needs are understood and addressed
  • Building strong client relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers
  • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure they fulfill all customer requests
  • Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the client
  • Acting as the client representative in a firm to ensure their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience
  • Collecting and analyzing data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
  • React to customer complaints and bring to resolution in a timely manner.

Job Knowledge:
  • Obtain expertise in equipment, or supplies, being sold to include the features / applications and benefits of those products.
  • Have an awareness level of the industry and the competition that WBS is selling against.

Sales Calls:
  • Identify and reach the "decision maker" prior to making the sales call.
  • Properly prepare for each sales call made.
  • Maintain the appropriate amount of activity at each level of the sales cycle in order to keep the "pipeline" flowing.
  • Keep record of sales call activity and data base of contacts.

Forecasting:
  • Develop and maintain a prospective sales list.
  • Complete monthly forecasts and submit to management on a timely basis.

Administration:
  • Prepare well organized, detailed proposals, utilizing available corporate support for a professional result.
  • Complete sales reports and submit to management on a timely basis.

Coordination Efforts:
  • Ensure smooth delivery and installation of equipment within appropriate time frame.
  • Provide customer training on equipment after installation has taken place.

WBS Team:
  • Maintain positive relations at all levels throughout the organization, both within the Sales Division and interdepartmentally.
  • Communicate on a timely basis with WBS employees regarding status of sales leads presented.
  • On a periodic basis, act as a product and industry trainer for new or inexperienced members of the team.

Requirements
Education:
  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in marketing, business, or related field.

Experience:
  • 2+ years of proven sales experience

  • Satisfactory problem-solving skills to help resolve customer complaints or needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate product ideas to clients
  • Up-to-date understanding of the industry's consumer behavior

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL-MENTAL FUNCTIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Able to move 50 pounds or less frequently, 100 pounds or less occasionally.
• Able to push/pull objects with moderate effort frequently. Maximum effort occasionally.
• Able to sit and/or stand 2 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per day. Able to remain on feet for 2 hours continuously.
• Must be able to manipulate small objects with close eye-hand and arm-hand coordination for entire shift.
• Able to perform motor skills such as grasping, finger manipulation, pinching, bending, reaching out, twisting, turning, reaching up, wrist turning/torqueing for 2 hours continuously.
