They are responsible for managing client accounts, addressing client inquiries or concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Their role often involves building strong relationships, understanding clients' needs, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions. By maintaining open communication and providing excellent service, Client Relations Associates help foster long-term client loyalty and support business growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a client relations associate?

To thrive as a Client Relations Associate, you need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a background in business, sales, or customer service, often supported by a relevant bachelor's degree. • Collaborate cross-functionally with investment communications, marketing, research, legal & compliance, and operations teams
  • Communicate Harding Loevner's investment philosophy, process, and strategy performance to clients and prospects
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance data management, operational efficiency, and sales processes
  • Represent Harding Loevner with professionalism, integrity, and transparency consistent with the firm's values

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, client service, sales support, or another client-facing role within asset management or financial services
  • Interest in investment markets, with the ability and willingness to discuss strategies and portfolio positioning with clients and prospects
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team initiatives
  • Foundational understanding of global equity investing, investment manager selection, and asset allocation concepts
  • Willingness to travel as needed (typically less than 10%)
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain; firm-sponsored)
  • Progress toward or interest in pursuing the CFA designation a plus

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000–$95,000. The firm's total compensation program includes an annual base salary, an annual discretionary performance-based bonus, a remunerative long-term incentive plan, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; paid time off; a flexible spending account (FSA) program; and access to various wellness and employee assistance programs.

The actual base salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related considerations.

As an equal opportunity employer, Harding Loevner promotes a diverse and inclusive environment to reduce biases, enhance decision making, and achieve successful outcomes for clients.
