Client Relations Associate

Harding Loevner seeks a Client Relations Associate to join its Client Relations team responsible for managing and expanding relationships with financial intermediaries and institutional investors.

The Associate will support senior client relations professionals in strengthening client relationships and driving asset growth, with exposure to RIAs, consultants, banks, broker-dealers, and institutional investors. This role also offers the opportunity to develop knowledge of the firm's investment strategies and market dynamics through direct participation in client and prospect interactions across institutional and intermediary channels while contributing to relationship management, business development initiatives, and the delivery of a high-quality client experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in client and prospect calls, meetings, and follow-up activities
  • Conduct proactive outreach and phone calls to service existing clients that have not had recent engagement with Harding Loevner
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and analysis to support business development strategy and evaluate success
  • Maintain accurate and organized client records within the firm's CRM system
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with investment communications, marketing, research, legal & compliance, and operations teams
  • Communicate Harding Loevner's investment philosophy, process, and strategy performance to clients and prospects
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance data management, operational efficiency, and sales processes
  • Represent Harding Loevner with professionalism, integrity, and transparency consistent with the firm's values

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, client service, sales support, or another client-facing role within asset management or financial services
  • Interest in investment markets, with the ability and willingness to discuss strategies and portfolio positioning with clients and prospects
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team initiatives
  • Foundational understanding of global equity investing, investment manager selection, and asset allocation concepts
  • Willingness to travel as needed (typically less than 10%)
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain; firm-sponsored)
  • Progress toward or interest in pursuing the CFA designation a plus

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000–$95,000. The firm's total compensation program includes an annual base salary, an annual discretionary performance-based bonus, a remunerative long-term incentive plan, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; paid time off; a flexible spending account (FSA) program; and access to various wellness and employee assistance programs.

The actual base salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related considerations.

As an equal opportunity employer, Harding Loevner promotes a diverse and inclusive environment to reduce biases, enhance decision making, and achieve successful outcomes for clients.
