The Role

RedManehas a full-time opportunity for an experienced Project Manager as we continueto grow our Chicago based practice. The Project Manager will be responsible forleading cross functional teams to complete project goals and deliverableswithin scope and budget. The successful candidate will work directly withclients and internal staff to estimate, plan and manage projects to successfulcompletion.

Oursolution offerings include custom design, integrated solutions that leveragethird-party software and COTS products, and highly configurable, low code casemanagement solutions that that incorporate leading-edge technologies. Theseinclude cloud-based mobility, data analytics and visualizations, artificialintelligence, and machine learning.

As aproject manager, you will work in a collaborative environment within ourproject teams where you will track, manage and report upon scope, schedule,budget for client projects. As the project manager is the primary point ofcontact with the client, frequent and clear communication is necessary toestablish productive and balanced relationships with customer stakeholders andsponsors.

Previousexperience managing projects in any of the following functional area is a plusbut not required: Health and Human Services, Higher Education, Utilities, Probation,and Healthcare.

Responsibilities

Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Create,update and manage project schedule using Microsoft Project or otherclient-approved software.
  • Controland manage project scope, budget, activities and expectations to ensureprofitability of RedMane projects.
  • Regularlytrack, report and analyze project status, including scheduling and conductingregular status meetings, and creating client-facing status reports.
  • Createand manage Risk, Change and Issues registers for the project.
  • Plan,schedule and manage project activities with clients.
  • Regularlymanage, interact, and collaborate with RedMane project team members.
  • Facilitatediscussions and resolution of project-related issues and blockers, if theyarise.
  • Escalateissues to management and client stakeholders, if necessary.
  • Createmonthly reports and forecasts to RedMane executive management of projectstatus, schedule, milestones and budget.
  • Facilitate,schedule and plan Executive Steering Committee meetings for projects –including creation of presentations and other material to effectivelycommunicate project progress.
Skills & Role Requirements

TheProject Manager will need to have:

  • 5years of project management experience with increasing scope of responsibility.
  • Experiencein crafting project proposals, developing work estimates and project schedulesrelated to a fixed support budget and enhancements.
  • Experiencein project planning and control of ongoing support and maintenance of projects.
  • Experiencetracking, managing and escalating issues through to resolution.
  • Experiencewith the identification and mitigation of project risk.
  • Excellentcommunication skills with all levels of internal and client staff andmanagement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate andarticulate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with project management toolsand software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint,SharePoint).
  • Proficiency with tools that facilitateand promote team interaction and collaboration (e.g., Skype for Business,WebEx, Basecamp, SharePoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and managementskills with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Experiencemanaging projects involving data analytics, artificial intelligence, machinelearning and IoT is a plus, but not required.
