Job description

As a Senior Project Manager (Sr. Engagement Manager), you will be responsible for client interfaces within a project or group of projects for the assigned technology competency of the business. You will ensure successful deliverables (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, budget, etc.) and work with the Client project manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. You will also be responsible for managing to the agreed to budget and delivering the project profitably.
KEY EXPECTATIONS
  • Lead client-facing consulting engagements and manage multiple projects, assigning and managing work activities, meeting deadlines and providing status reports to different stakeholders.
  • Client delivery assurance - assure the client of the commitment and drive the delivery process by working collaboratively with the Managers-Client Services, Project Team(s), and Delivery Managers in the business.
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Project Managers working on their implementations.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
  • Work with the client project manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
  • Work with Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed to checkpoints.
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to position other service offerings.
  • Maintain clients' ongoing satisfaction, ensuring Peoplevisor is reputable and reference-able once in production.
  • Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW.
  • Present client with change orders in the event they're asking Peoplevisor to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW.
  • Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst your colleagues, mentees, and managers - serve as a professional role model.
  • Viewed as a trusted senior advisor at the C-Level/VP level or equivalent, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the scaled, enterprise Agile and Program Management community, showing differentiated invention and innovation.
  • Leads and delivers the largest and most complex initiatives and customer engagements.
  • Collaborates with our field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to seek to understand our customer's needs, their business, how success is defined and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in delivery and developing valued solutions.
  • Possesses a deep knowledge of project management best practices and how to apply them in an effective and pragmatic way across large, complex engagements and organizations.
  • Understands the cloud technology value proposition, principles and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms and consumer facing technology.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Manager, Senior Manager, Director, or similar level role, preferably with a large consulting firm.
  • HR Technology and process experience in Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP technologies (preferably cloud based).
  • Experience managing large teams on complex global projects.
  • Thrive in a diverse, fast paced environment.
  • Think analytically and can effectively apply logic to solve problems.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and team with others.
  • Exceptional Sales and Solution delivery leadership abilities.
  • Experience with C-Level client relationship building and relationship management.
  • Excellent organization, time management, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Expected travel is +/-50% depending on project.
