Position Summary


CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA) is a marine science and technical services consulting firm that provides a broad range of environmental, coastal, and oceanographic services in the U.S. and internationally. We are seeking an experienced professional to support the company as a Project Manager (PM).


We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex consulting and professional services projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, resource coordination, risk management, and client satisfaction.


Working closely with Technical Leads and Subject Matter Experts, the Project Manager ensures that project objectives are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, profitability, and client service. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.


The Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for project execution and delivery, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.


This position will be located at the Stuart, FL office; periodic travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Manage all phases of project execution from initiation through closeout.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project objectives.
  • Lead project status reporting, forecasting, change management, and financial performance reviews.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets and financial performance.
  • Track project costs, revenue, profitability, and resource utilization.
  • Support proposal development, estimating, pricing, and contract reviews.
  • Manage scope changes, contract modifications, and commercial impacts.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of project financial performance.

Client Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, schedules, deliverables, and contractual matters.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support business development activities by identifying opportunities for repeat business and new engagements.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional project teams in a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Coordinate the efforts of technical specialists, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment among project participants.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and quality.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Manage subcontractor, vendor, and consultant engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support procurement planning and contract administration.
  • Oversee third-party performance to ensure project requirements are met.

Technical Integration

  • Partner with Technical Leads and Subject Matter Experts to ensure project execution aligns with technical requirements and client expectations.
  • Coordinate the integration of technical work products into cohesive, high-quality project deliverables.
  • Support the successful delivery of technical solutions while maintaining project controls and commercial objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a consulting, professional services, engineering, environmental, technical services, or related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience with project controls, scheduling, and earned value management (EVM) principles.
  • Contract administration and commercial management experience.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience managing international projects and logistics.
