Job Overview
The Project Manager for the Workday practice will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday solution on some of our largest projects. The Project Manager will drive the client implementation and will be involved in the development of several key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.) and work with the Client project manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing to the agreed to budget and delivering the project profitably.
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage full lifecycle Workday HCM, Finance and/or SCM Deployment Projects
  • Manage project execution leveraging the Workday Deployment Methodology and sound Project Management discipline on all projects.
  • Managed at least one (1) large Workday HCM, Finance and/or SCM implementation or two (2) mid-sized Workday engagements
  • Demonstrate competency in at least one of the Workday product suites
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate a solution, contribute on proposal pursuits and writing Statement of Work
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Consulting resources working on the implementation
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
  • Work with the client project manager to identify/resolve all issues which could impact project scope and/or timeframes
  • Work with Workday’s Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed to checkpoints
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices
  • Identify opportunities to position other Workday modules and or other Impact Advisors offerings
  • Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completion of implementation
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from implementation to Workday customer support
  • Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW
  • Present client with change orders for tasks, timeline changes, resource shortfalls for tasks outside of the SOW scope
  • Complete Timesheets and Expense Reporting weekly

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a minimum of two full lifecycle Workday HCM, Financials, and/or SCM implementation projects
  • Experience managing multiple Workday tenants
  • Extensive experience leading and managing HCM, Payroll, Financial and/or SCM implementation projects for medium to large complex organizations
  • Experience implementing Workday, Oracle/PeopleSoft, SAP, Infor/Lawson or similar application
  • Excellent organization, time management, and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Workday EM/PM Certification preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Business development skills
  • Passion for delivering exemplary customer service
  • PMP Certification a plus

For salaried positions, this role may also be eligible for an annual bonus.
