Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee large, complex environmental projects involving regulatory compliance, cross-functional coordination, and strategic alignment. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while ensuring deliverables meet all municipal and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in environmental project management, regulatory processes, and stakeholder coordination—bringing a results-driven mindset and technical proficiency in project and GIS tools. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS.


Essential Functions:
• Lead the execution of large-scale environmental projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality to meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate planning sessions and coordinate across cross-functional teams, including technical experts, legal, regulatory, and field staff.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure all project activities comply with municipal codes and environmental regulations.
• Proactively address project risks and issues, ensuring deliverables align with client’s strategic goals and regulatory deadlines.
• Ensure the preparation and submission of accurate, timely reports and documentation to regulatory agencies. Provide clear, regular status updates to client leadership.
• Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.


Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
o Three (3) years of project management experience in consulting, utilities, or environmental services, and
o Two (2) managing vegetation management projects, client relationships, and multi-disciplinary teams.
o Conduct a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
o Approval by Client Representative.

Working Conditions: 
Environmental Factors:  Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials. Noise level is usually moderate. Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to, talk, hear, stand or sit during extended periods of time, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch lift, push, pull, walk for extended periods of time, walk long distances and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Ability to perform tasks during a typical 8+ hour workday.
