PROJECT COORDINATOR
Location: Medicine Hat, AB
Competitive Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 + Bonus
Our client is a well-established design-build general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects across Alberta. With a collaborative team environment and a commitment to quality, they continue to grow and are seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to support project delivery from pre-construction through completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to expand their experience in estimating, project coordination, procurement, and project administration while working alongside experienced Project Managers and Construction Leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Project Managers with estimating, project planning, scheduling, procurement, and day-to-day project coordination.
  • Prepare project estimates, budgets, and tender packages using subcontractor pricing and historical project data.
  • Coordinate subcontractor prequalification, bid solicitation, purchase orders, permits, and material procurement.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Support project closeout by coordinating shop drawings, deficiency tracking, closeout documentation, and turnover requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Build strong working relationships with project stakeholders while maintaining a high level of organization, communication, and customer service.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with company quality standards and health and safety requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or project administration within commercial or industrial construction.
  • Understanding of estimating, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
