Job Description & Summary

The Opportunity
As a Deals - Valuation Intern, you will engage in the dynamic world of deal valuation, supporting our clients in making informed decisions through strategic advice and comprehensive valuation services. Within our Advisory practice, you will gain exposure to a variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and learn how to provide insights that drive value creation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects and conducting research, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's methodologies. You will observe professional work environments and contribute to the team's success by performing basic tasks and applying a learning mindset to develop your potential.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse assignments, each presenting unique challenges and scope. You will be encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for our clients. This experience will help you establish your personal brand and pave the way for future opportunities within the firm.
Responsibilities
- Supporting valuation teams in conducting asset and business valuations for mergers and acquisitions
- Participating in financial analysis and modeling to assess the value of financial instruments and businesses
- Assisting in the preparation of valuation reports and presentations for client engagements
- Engaging in research to gather relevant market data and industry trends for valuation purposes
- Collaborating with team members to provide strategic advice and insights to clients on valuation matters
- Utilizing tools like Alteryx for data analysis and process automation in valuation projects
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals to gain exposure to PwC's valuation methodologies
- Contributing to the development of financial models to support valuation conclusions
- Applying analytical skills to evaluate financial statements and assess company performance
- Supporting the team in maintaining compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements in valuation activities
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Industrial & System Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Mathematics and Statistics & Operations Research, Industrial Engineering & Operations Research
- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
