Client Services Associate I

UW Credit Union is hiring a Client Services Associate I to join our Wealth Management team in Madison! Do you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and delivering quality? Do you have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills? Are you looking for an opportunity that has development within the role? At UW Credit Union, we provide meaningful financial services to our members with the honesty and integrity they deserve. As a Client Services Associate, you will be responsible for building relationships, promoting Wealth Management services to UW Credit Union employees, members, and the community at large and providing administrative support to the Wealth Management team.

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Client Services Associate

Every day will be different but below is a snapshot of what you will do:

  • Start the day off preparing the office for appointments for the Advisors.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment at the front desk of one of our wealth management hubs.
  • Provide personalized, professional service to all members and representatives in an exceptional manner, seeking out opportunities to exceed member expectations.
  • Perform administrative tasks including, and not limited to, referral management and tracking, document processing, client service requests, new client onboarding paperwork, seasonal and routine servicing activities (ex. tax planning tasks), seminar/webinar support, client events and financial transaction items.
  • Interact with members in-person and over the phone to review their account status, answer questions and collect information.
  • Continuously organize and regroup from priority interruptions while completing daily routine tasks.
  • Manage, direct, and troubleshoot incoming calls from the wealth management group extension.
  • Make outbound calls regarding various client situations and routine tasks.
  • Work with multiple Financial Advisors to support sales functions.
Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Associate's degree in business, finance or related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in financial services, bank operations and/or client services.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
  • High level of problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience with inbound and outbound customer/member calls
  • Efficient, detail-oriented, self-starter, able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Licensed in the following or obtain within the 1st year of employment (UW Credit Union will pay for 1-2 rounds of exam fees with the opportunity to receive a recognition bonus for successfully obtaining/having all licenses):
    • WI Insurance Life & Health License
    • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
    • FINRA Series 7
    • FINRA Series 66
