Job description

Client Development Advisor
Klipsch Senior Care • Home Instead • Terre Haute, IN
Full-time
No degree required. We hire for who you are-your drive to compete, your ability to build real relationships, and your genuine desire to connect people to help that changes their lives. If you've got that, we'll teach you everything else.
What this role is really about
Every day, families in Terre Haute are trying to figure out how to get their loved one the help they need. They're scared, overwhelmed, and not sure who to trust. As our Client Development Advisor, you're the person who changes that.
This is a relationship-driven sales role. You'll build a referral network from the ground up-physicians, hospital discharge planners, social workers, assisted living communities-and turn those relationships into families who trust us with their loved ones' care. Then you'll be the one who sits down with those families, helps them make one of the hardest decisions they'll face, and walks them into care with confidence.
If you're competitive, you'll thrive here. There are goals to hit, metrics to own, and a market to build. But the scoreboard here isn't just numbers-it's seniors living better at home. That combination of drive and purpose is exactly what we're looking for.
What you'll do day to day
Build and grow your referral network
  • Research and develop relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, assisted living communities, and other community partners
  • Show up consistently-provider visits, presentations, and outreach that builds the kind of trust referral partners send their clients to
  • Nurture referral-generated leads with follow-up that's persistent without being pushy

Lead care consultations and client onboarding
  • Meet with families to assess needs, answer questions, and help them make a decision they feel good about
  • Develop customized care plans and guide clients smoothly into receiving care
  • Personally introduce clients to their Care Professional-the relationship starts right

Own the client relationship long-term
  • Conduct regular quality assurance visits to reinforce trust and catch changes in needs before they become problems
  • Identify opportunities to expand or adjust services so clients get the right level of care as their situation evolves
  • Resolve concerns quickly-you're the relationship owner, and that means seeing things through

Track your work and hit your numbers
  • Maintain accurate documentation in our CRM-referral activity, consultations, QA visits, outcomes
  • Know your metrics, own your pipeline, and collaborate with leadership on activity planning tied to our growth goals
  • Partner with Care Advisors on incoming inquiries and assist with conversion when needed

What we're looking for
We're not looking for someone who's just good with people. We're looking for someone who's good with people and hungry to win. If you've got some sales experience under your belt-even just a season of it-and you know what it feels like to set a goal and go after it, that's a strong foundation. Here's the rest of what we're after:
  • You're competitive. You keep score-with yourself, if nothing else. You don't coast when things are going well, and you don't quit when they're not.
  • You build real relationships. Not transactional ones. You remember names, follow up without being asked, and show up even when there's nothing immediate to gain.
  • You have some sales experience. You know what it means to identify an opportunity, work a lead, and close-in whatever context you've done it.
  • You have a consultative mindset. You listen more than you talk, ask good questions, and help people make decisions they feel confident about.
  • You're self-directed. You manage your own pipeline, your own calendar, and your own outcomes-without needing to be managed step by step.
  • You care about the mission. The work here isn't just a number-it's a senior living with dignity at home. That has to mean something to you.

A word about credentials
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree or some college is a plus. Prior experience in sales, business development, client services, or community outreach will help you hit the ground running-and we're genuinely looking for someone who has some of that. But we've seen that what predicts success here isn't a credential-it's drive, follow-through, and the ability to earn trust.
If your path here looks unconventional, tell us. We'd rather hear your story than assume.
Tech you'll use
You'll work in a CRM system (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel, plus Home Instead's internal systems. Comfort with these-or a genuine willingness to learn-is important. We'll train you on our specific tools.
You'll also need a valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the Terre Haute territory. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
What we offer
  • A mission that matters-every relationship you build connects a senior to care that lets them live at home with dignity
  • A team that will invest in you-training, mentorship, and real room to grow
  • A workplace built on our values: empathy, integrity, patience, and genuine care for each other
  • Advancement paths for people who perform-we promote from within

Work Conditions: Valid driver's license; ability to travel within territory; ability to work evenings or weekends as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Klipsch Senior Care, LLC. d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, the franchise owner, clients and the community
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have the ability to operate HI technology systems
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in SalesForce, Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work evenings or weekends as required
