Elite Client Advocate

Job description

Elite Client Advocate

We're a team with ambitious goals and high expectations of ourselves and the people around us. When our clients thrive, we thrive. That's why we don't view client relationships as accounts to manage-we view them as partnerships to earn every day. If you're someone who naturally builds trust, understands complex businesses, and enjoys becoming the person clients rely on most, you'll love it here. If you prefer working at arm's length from clients or being just one step removed from the action, this probably isn't the right fit.

We'll invest in your success from day one, but we'll need you to immerse yourself in our clients' businesses just as quickly.

It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work as a Hybrid employee, with three (3) or more days each week required on-site at one of the listed office locations.

Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to an office. Internal candidates currently aligned to an Orion office location may be given preference; however, internal candidates with varying work arrangements may be considered based on experience and business needs. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

The role

This is a role for someone who believes that great client relationships are built through deep understanding, relentless follow-through, and genuine ownership.

As an Elite Client Advocate, you'll become a true extension of a client's home office. You'll develop an intimate understanding of their business, technology, operating model, strategic priorities, and the people responsible for driving them forward. The goal is simple: know the client better than anyone else and ensure their experience with Orion is seamless, proactive, and rooted in trust.

You are the face of Orion to the client and the voice of the client within Orion.

While the Elite Client Delivery Manager leads internal operations and coordinates delivery across the pod, you own the client relationship itself. You're the person clients call first, the individual who understands their priorities, and the advocate who ensures their needs are represented in every internal conversation.

You don't operate like a vendor partner. You operate like a trusted member of the client's team.

What you'll be doing
  • Embedding deeply within the client's organization, learning their structure, processes, technology, goals, and operational priorities

  • Building trusted relationships across the client organization, from day-to-day operators to executive stakeholders

  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the client's organizational structure, key decision-makers, business objectives, and growth plans

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all client-facing needs, whether operational, technical, strategic, or relationship-oriented

  • Acting as the client's internal advocate, ensuring enhancement requests, priorities, concerns, and escalations are represented appropriately across Orion teams

  • Owning the client-facing side of escalations through proactive communication, clear status updates, and consistent follow-through

  • Partnering closely with the Elite Client Delivery Manager to ensure issues are routed effectively and remain visible through resolution

  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of client configurations, preferences, historical decisions, and known challenges to ensure continuity regardless of team changes

  • Translating complex technical issues into language clients can easily understand and act upon

  • Representing the client's perspective in internal discussions and ensuring decisions reflect both Orion priorities and client needs

  • Building long-term trust through responsiveness, consistency, transparency, and execution

Who you are

You've spent enough time working with enterprise clients to understand that trust is built through understanding, not transactions.

You are naturally curious and enjoy learning how organizations work. When you're supporting a client, you want to understand not only what they're asking for, but why it matters, who it impacts, and how it connects to larger business objectives.

You have the ability to navigate both business and technology conversations with confidence. You don't need to be the person writing code or building integrations, but you understand enough about data, platforms, workflows, and system behavior to ask the right questions and guide productive conversations.

You are comfortable operating in executive environments and can communicate with credibility at every level of an organization. Just as importantly, you're able to take technical complexity and translate it into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences.

You stay organized in environments where multiple priorities compete for attention. Clients trust you because they know nothing gets lost, forgotten, or overlooked.

Most importantly, you're motivated by partnership. You measure success not by the number of requests completed, but by the confidence clients have that Orion understands their business, supports their goals, and is invested in their success.

The environment

Our Elite Client Delivery model is designed around deep partnership and exceptional service. You'll work alongside a dedicated pod that includes delivery, technical, project management, and data specialists, each focused on helping clients achieve their desired outcomes.

This role sits at the intersection of wealth management, enterprise technology, and client success. Success requires a strong understanding of financial services operations, technical concepts, and the ability to build meaningful relationships in complex organizations.

We're not looking for someone who simply manages client requests. We're looking for someone who becomes indispensable to the client because of the knowledge, judgment, and trust they bring to every interaction.

What great looks like here

The Elite Client Advocates who thrive at Orion become trusted advisors, not vendor contacts. Their clients see them as part of the team and rely on them to create clarity, solve problems, and ensure progress continues even when challenges arise.

They know their clients' businesses deeply. They anticipate needs before they are expressed. They communicate proactively, advocate relentlessly, and create confidence through consistency.

At this level, success means more than maintaining a relationship. It means building a partnership so strong that the client views Orion as an extension of their own organization.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.
