Job description

As a Senior SAP BTP Integration Architect at Mindset, you will design and deliver complex enterprise integration landscapes using SAP BTP Integration Suite. You will architect solutions across Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and next-generation EDI while guiding customers through modernization from SAP PI/PO, legacy middleware, or hybrid integration platforms.

This role is ideal for a hands-on integration expert who can lead design sessions, build high-quality integration assets, influence enterprise architecture decisions, and ensure seamless connectivity across SAP S/4HANA, cloud applications, partner systems, and event-driven extensions on BTP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integration Architecture: Lead the design of end-to-end integration architectures using SAP Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Integration Advisor.
  • Solution Delivery: Develop complex iFlows, mappings, integration patterns, API proxies, and event-driven messaging solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Modernization & Migration: Guide clients through CPI-to-CPI Cloud migrations, PI/PO retirement strategies, and modernization of legacy integration landscapes.
  • API Strategy: Design secure APIs using SAP API Management, including governance, security policies, versioning, throttling, and developer enablement.
  • Event-Driven Design: Architect messaging patterns using Event Mesh and integrate with S/4HANA, BTP services, and side-by-side extensions.
  • EDI & B2B Integration: Implement EDI flows using Integration Advisor, TPM, X12/EDIFACT mappings, and B2B connectivi
  • Client Engagement: Lead technical workshops, interface design sessions, troubleshooting efforts, and solution walk-throughs with enterprise stakeholders.
  • Quality & Standards: Ensure best practices for security, monitoring, error handling, resiliency, and performance optimization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, architects, and delivery leads to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of SAP integration experience with at least 3+ years working hands-on with SAP BTP Integration Suite.
  • Core Integration Expertise:
    • SAP Cloud Integration (iFlows, adapters, mappings, E2E flows)
    • SAP API Management (policies, governance, lifecycle management)
    • SAP Event Mesh and event-driven integration patterns
    • Integration Advisor, TPM, and EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT)
  • Legacy Modernization: Proven experience migrating from SAP PI/PO or legacy integration platforms to BTP Integration Suite.
  • Technical Skills: Groovy scripting, XSLT, JSON/XML transformations, OAuth2/SAML/JWT security models, and CI/CD for integration content.
  • Architecture Skills: Deep understanding of integration patterns, cloud connectivity, error handling, and hybrid on-prem/cloud designs.
  • Consulting Skills: Strong communication, workshop facilitation, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Nice to Have Qualifications
  • SAP Integration Suite certifications (CPI, API Mgmt, or BTP).
  • Experience with BTP Build, CAP, or side-by-side app extension patterns.
  • Familiarity with hyperscaler integration or API gateways (Azure, GCP, AWS).
