What does a client experience intern do?

A Client Experience Intern supports the client experience team by assisting with various tasks that enhance customer satisfaction and engagement. This can include conducting research on client needs, gathering feedback, helping resolve client issues, and participating in the development of client-focused initiatives. Interns may also assist in organizing client meetings, preparing reports, and collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless client journey. The role provides valuable exposure to customer relationship management and the opportunity to develop communication and problem-solving skills.

What types of projects or tasks can a client experience intern expect to work on during their internship?

Typical responsibilities include gathering and analyzing client feedback, helping coordinate meetings or events, preparing client-facing materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and customer support. Interns often get hands-on experience in process improvement initiatives and may have opportunities to contribute ideas for enhancing client satisfaction. This role provides valuable insights into customer relationship management and is a great stepping stone for careers in client services or account management.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a client experience intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Client Experience Intern, you need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a background in business, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM systems, customer feedback tools, and Microsoft Office is typically expected. Exceptional interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to multitask help interns build positive client relationships and support team objectives. Company: Neuropath Healthcare Solutions

Location: Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Duration: 6 Months

Position: Unpaid Internship

About Neuropath Healthcare Solutions: At Neuropath Healthcare Solutions, we provide comprehensive technology-driven healthcare solutions for healthcare organizations, including hospitals, long-term care, outpatient facilities, and residential treatment. We are passionate about healthcare and technology, dedicated to acquiring top talent. We seek interns who are internally motivated, adaptive, and embody our core values as a client-focused organization.

Job Summary: Our Client Service Admin Intern will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a strong online presence for our company. Responsibilities include implementing online marketing strategies through social media platforms. If you are tech-savvy and professional with an interest in communicating with clients through digital channels, we invite you to apply. As an intern, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract customers and promote our brand. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies. A flexible schedule is allowed, but availability of 5 days per week is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients via telephone or email to provide support and information on products or services.
  • Collect and enter requests for new or additional services.
  • Handle case assignments and service scheduling.
  • Field client inquiries and complaints; when the issue is beyond your knowledge, forward it to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
  • Perform client satisfaction calls.
  • Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve clients' problems and concerns.
  • Maintain client accounts and records of client interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  • Attend in-service training as required by regulation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all agency administrative and clinical policies and procedures.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Medical scheduling experience is required.
  • Healthcare or Behavioral Healthcare experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or Creole preferred.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Interest in gaining experience in scheduling within the healthcare sector.
  • Current college student, or recent graduate.
  • Must have experience in an office setting.
  • Ability to professionally represent the organization at all times.
  • Maintain standards of high-quality customer service.
  • eClinical Works or similar EMR experience is preferred.
  • Ability to commute to our office in Union, NJ.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks.
  • A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.

Schedule: We offer flexible hours. Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who can commit to an internship onsite three (3) days per week, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Disclaimer: At Neuropath, strong performance matters. If an intern's performance demonstrates consistent proficiency in required skills, they may be invited to continue their internship into the next semester. For current students, the internship may be extended throughout their academic enrollment, provided they maintain the expected standards of performance and professional conduct. Our Corporate and Administrative Internship positions at Neuropath are designed as structured learning and development experiences, with a minimum commitment of six (6) months. Completion of our internship program โ€” whether as an undergraduate or as a graduate with a bachelor's degree โ€” does not guarantee employment. While participation in the internship may lead to consideration for a paid role, transition to employment is not automatic or guaranteed. Hiring decisions are determined by organizational needs, position availability, and the individual's demonstrated readiness for the role. Interns seeking to transition into a paid position must meet the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of the full 6-month internship term.
  • Completion of all required training and workflow processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all core responsibilities, with the ability to perform assigned tasks independently and comprehensively without direct supervision.
  • Successful performance reviews at both the 90-day and 180-day milestones.
  • Ability to commute to our office in Union, NJ.

Current students who have not yet graduated are not eligible for paid employment in administrative positions but may continue as interns. Candidates without a degree will be considered for entry-level roles (e.g., Client Services) on a case-by-case basis. All interns โ€” regardless of educational background โ€” must exhibit the level of competency required to meet the demands of the position, including adaptability, technical proficiency, communication skills, and a thorough understanding of our operational standards. This applies equally to entry-level roles such as Client Service Administrators (CSA). We do not hire interns into trainee positions; all hires must be prepared to assume full responsibilities from day one.
