Client Service Coordinator โ€“ Per Diem

$26.00โ€“$30.00/hour (DOE) + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6:00 PMโ€“6:00 AM)

Per Diem opportunity in San Francisco, California

Schedule: As Needed | Mondayโ€“Sunday | Typical shifts: 7:00 AMโ€“3:00 PM or 10:00 AMโ€“6:00 PM

Join the Client Care team at SAGE San Francisco and help create an exceptional experience for pets and their families. As a Per Diem Client Service Coordinator, you'll serve as the first point of contact for clients visiting one of Northern California's premier specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to outstanding patient care.

Per Diem Requirements: This position is scheduled on an as-needed basis. New per diem team members must complete four 8-hour training shifts before independently picking up shifts. To maintain active status, per diem employees are required to work at least one shift per month.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

  • Welcome clients and patients while creating a compassionate and professional first impression.

  • Coordinate appointments, procedures, and daily hospital scheduling.

  • Answer phones, emails, and internal communications while providing outstanding customer service.

  • Maintain accurate client and patient records using hospital management software.

  • Process patient check-ins, check-outs, payments, estimates, and invoices.

  • Educate clients on hospital processes and general patient care information.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.

  • Respond calmly and professionally during emergency situations.

  • Resolve client concerns while delivering exceptional service.

  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience; veterinary experience preferred.

  • At least one year of hospitality or client-facing experience providing exceptional customer service.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Comfortable typing 45+ WPM, using a 10-key calculator, and performing accurate data entry.

  • Experience with EzyVet or other veterinary practice management software preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

  • Compassionate, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service.
