Job description

About Vermillion Financial Advisors

Join a growing independent financial planning and investment advisory firm where your ideas, initiatives, and contributions are valued. Since 1988, Vermillion Financial Advisors has helped individuals, families, professionals, and business owners navigate life's most important financial decisions. As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for like-minded individuals who are ready to help us enhance our client's experience. We help clients gain financial peace of mind through integrated, comprehensive advice from highly experienced advisors, while fostering an environment where employees can expand their expertise, excel professionally, and make a meaningful impact within the firm.

Position Summary

As a Client Relationship Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for prospective clients. Your role is to guide prospective clients through the early stages of building a relationship with Vermillion. You will be the face of the client engagement process by responding to inquiries and nurturing each prospective relationship. Through thoughtful introductory conversations, you will help prospects openly discuss their concerns, priorities, and goals while introducing them to Vermillion's philosophy, values, and approach to financial planning and investment advisory. You will help determine whether each prospective client is qualified and, when appropriate, coordinate a seamless transition to the appropriate advisor.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, guiding prospective clients, and can connect to high-net-worth individuals who are pre- or post- retirees (typically age 50 and above). If you have experience in relationship coordination, client onboarding, client service, and enjoy building connections, this job could be for you.

Key Responsibilities Inbound Lead Response and Prospect Engagement
  • Respond quickly and professionally to inbound inquiries from the website, events, paid lead campaigns, and referrals.
  • Conduct introductory conversations to understand each prospect's financial concerns, goals, and potential fit with Vermillion.
  • Clearly communicate Vermillion's services, value proposition, and integrated approach to and between financial planning and investment advisory services.
  • Build trust and maintain thoughtful, consistent communication throughout the prospect's initial experience with the firm.
Prospect Pipeline
  • Guide prospective clients through a structured process from initial inquiry to commitment.
  • Maintain timely and organized follow-up with prospects at each stage of the relationship.
  • Help prospects understand the planning and investment process, address general questions, and determine whether Vermillion is the appropriate firm to meet their needs.
Advisor Coordination and Handoff
  • Schedule prospect meetings and provide advisors with relevant background information, notes, and key details to help them prepare for their transitional "get to know you" meeting.
  • Continue to assist our advisors through the on-boarding process with follow-ups and prospect needs.
Pipeline Reporting and Prospect tracking
  • Track pipeline activity, lead source, volume, conversion, and share updates for firm leadership.
  • Ensure the prospect pipeline data remains accurate, organized, and up to date in the firm's CRM (Salesforce).
Marketing Collaboration
  • Help ensure marketing messaging reflects the questions, concerns, and priorities that prospects truly care about.
  • Share prospect insights, recurring questions, and feedback with the team to support relevant and effective marketing content.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, communications, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience (relationship management, business development, sales, financial services preferred)
Valuable Skillsets
  • Patient, long-term relationship building
  • Consultative, high-touch communication
  • Active listening and thoughtful questioning
  • Clear telephone, written, and in-person communication
  • Timely and consistent follow-through
  • Comfortable using technology
Compensation
  • Base Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000 (experience dependent)
  • Bonus Eligible
Benefits

  • Dental Plan
  • Educational Reimbursement
