Our Lacey, WA office has an exciting opportunity for a Client Service Associate! This role is a vital part of our team, responsible for providing exceptional service and support to clients, external partners, and internal advisors. You will contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, with opportunities for growth and team leadership.
This role is an On-site position.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the hourly rate for this position is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Primary Job Functions
New Client Onboarding
  • Ensure accurate completion of prospect and new client documentation and setup
  • Follow up on fund transfers from surrendering companies
  • Maintain the Salesforce CRM database and client files, including filing, copies, and data entry
  • Research and resolve issues with the Broker/Dealer, WEG Operations, and vendors
  • Record incoming assets to the appropriate tracking tools

Client Relationship Management
  • Engage with clients to understand their history and financial needs
  • Prepare account transactions, including trades, deposits, withdrawals, and required minimum distributions (RMDs)
  • Communicate with clients to clarify requests and determine next steps, including resolving issues or coordinating with advisors
  • Facilitate communication with clients' tax or legal counsel as needed, including death claim processing

Client Review Preparation and Follow-Up
  • Gather client data and prepare materials for meetings and reviews
  • Conduct tax research (such as 1099s) and complete review follow-up actions

Industry, Product, and Company Knowledge
  • Apply knowledge of WEG's Suitability Guidelines, operational processes, and sales model
  • Maintain a working proficiency with financial products such as annuities, mutual funds, separately managed accounts, fixed income, stocks, options, alternative investments, hedge funds, and charitable giving practices
  • Attend client service training, company educational events, and vendor presentations as needed

Team and Corporate Support
  • Assist advisor team operations with process improvements
  • Complete operational projects to support enhancements and changes
  • Share process and sales updates with the team
  • Mentor and train Client Service Associates (CSAs)
  • Manage vendor relationships in accordance with service level agreements
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Customer service training, knowledge, or experience
  • Ability and interest to learn financial concepts and products
  • Ability to work with deadlines, be flexible under pressure, and prioritize work
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to learn WEG's sales model, processes, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Support Org functionality
  • Experience with Workday preferred

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state, pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as this level is $42,500 - $63,750. The Client Service Associate role is compensated through a combination of base salary and variable pay, with total compensation aligned to performance metrics and company goals.
