Job description

Our Client is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager for its Atlanta, GA location. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. Experience in cost analyst and modeling, inventory control and valuation, variance analysis and reporting, month end closing and journal entries, data integrity, budgeting and forecasting, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement required. Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and GAAP in manufacturing. This position will ensure the company's financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines, supports month end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure alignment between operational costing and corporate accounting, while establish internal controls and guidelines for preparing transactions that comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and coordinating the budget preparation process to ensure financial reporting accuracy.
