What are Clever jobs?

Clever jobs typically refer to positions at Clever, a company that provides secure, easy-to-use solutions for schools to manage digital learning platforms. Employees at Clever work in roles such as software engineering, product management, customer support, and sales, all focused on improving educational technology. Working at Clever often involves collaborating with educators, school districts, and technology partners to make digital learning more accessible and effective. The company values innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to enhancing education for students and teachers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Software Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Software Engineer, you need a solid understanding of programming languages, algorithms, and software development principles, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Proficiency with development tools such as Git, integrated development environments (IDEs), and familiarity with frameworks or cloud platforms is highly valued. Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and effective communication help engineers collaborate and adapt to project needs. These skills ensure efficient development, high-quality software, and successful project outcomes in a rapidly evolving tech environment.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in edtech companies like Clever, and how can applicants prepare to address them?

Professionals at edtech companies such as Clever often encounter challenges like adapting to fast-paced technological changes, ensuring data privacy for students and educators, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders (schools, districts, developers, and internal teams). • What Success Looks Like: Success is measured by the successful execution of the GTM roadmap, the accuracy of revenue forecasts, and the increased productivity of our revenue teams through optimized processes.
Key Projects You’ll Lead
    • Strategic Architecture: Administer and optimize our GTM tech stack (e.g., Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LeadIQ) to automate workflows and improve pipeline efficiency.
    • Operational Excellence: Map and document cross-functional processes and playbooks to enhance team onboarding and alignment.
    • Revenue Analytics: Own and Analyze marketing, sales, and retention metrics to drive monthly executive reviews and high-level decision-making.

  • Revenue Operations Foundation: 5-8 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, and/or Success Operations.
  • Systems Administration: Required experience in Salesforce administration.

  • Project Management: Exceptional ability to juggle multiple workstreams and priorities with fast iteration and self-direction.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Familiarity with Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outreach enablement tools.
  • Experience in Education or EdTech.
