What is a clerical typist?

Clerical typists are administrative professionals responsible for typing documents, entering data, and performing various office tasks such as filing, answering phones, and handling correspondence. They use word processors and other office equipment to produce accurate and timely documents. In addition to typing, they may also assist with scheduling, record keeping, and basic office organization. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of offices in many industries.
