Job Summary:Under moderate supervision,the BrokerClerical II performs advanced administrative and operational functions that support the organization's broker services and employee benefits operations. This positionis responsible forprocessing broker and licensed agent agreements, commission adjustments, broker of record changes, acquisitions, revenue reporting, direct deposit setup, monthly reporting, and other specialized administrative functions.
The Broker Clerical II independently manages complex work assignments whilemaintaininga high levelof accuracy, organization, and confidentiality. This role serves as an operational resource for the department byassistingwith escalated issues, supporting leadership initiatives,identifyingprocess improvement opportunities, andprovidingday-to-day guidance to team members.

Communication and Customer Support

  • Receive inbound calls and emails while completing outbound calls and emails with associates, licensed agents, brokers, and internal business partners.
  • Research and resolve escalated questions related to broker servicing, commissions, and administrative processes.
  • Execute Acquisition Requests received from Broker Relationship Managers and Directors.
  • Maintain professional relationships while providing exceptional customer service.

Administrative and Operational Responsibilities

  • Review and process Licensed Agent, Regional Broker, and National Broker Agreement setups.
  • Prepare and distribute Commission Revenue Reports.
  • Research and process Commission Adjustments and Commission Rebuilds.
  • Process Broker of Record changes.
  • Complete monthly operational and production reports.
  • Process direct deposit setup and other broker administrative transactions.
  • Identifydiscrepancies and resolve issues to ensure data accuracy.
  • Perform account research, follow-up, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Complete special projects and other duties assigned by leadership.

Team Support

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Broker Clerical team members by providing operational guidance andassistancewith daily workflows.
  • Assistwith escalated calls, emails, and complex account research.
  • Partner with leadership to resolve operational issues and improve departmental processes.
  • Assistwith production reporting and operational tracking.
  • Support departmental workflow and business continuity as operational needs require.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful performance as a Broker Clerical I or equivalent experience performing progressively responsible clerical, administrative, or broker support functions.
  • Experience processing broker agreements, commissions, or similar administrative functions preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong typing and10-keyskills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintaininga high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment whilemaintainingattention to detail.
