Job description

Amentum is seeking Cleared Entry Control Monitors to perform entry control actions at Offutt Air Force Base and will be required to monitor any breached areas of a designated perimeter or fence on all non-secured sites, locations, or entry control points. This position will ensure only authorized personnel are granted entry to designated construction sites and/or any secured zones by performing personnel credential checks in accordance with procedures provided by the government.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • Ensure only authorized personnel are granted entry to the construction site and/or any secondary construction site secured zones by checking personnel credentials using the construction security access control systems or procedures provided by the government.
  • Deny entry to anyone who has not satisfied requirements for construction site access.
  • Open and close the construction site access control point IAW the prime construction contractor schedule in accordance or referenced in SSO Security Requirements.
  • When or if needed, will assist the SSM or designee with personnel and/or vehicle inspection duties for any designated location or control points to include:
  • If needed/or applicable, shall assist the SSM or designee with site access point(s) for vehicle inspection entry lanes using contractor provided traffic cones/similar equipment (portable) to channel traffic into and out of the inspection areas to achieve/ensure safety.
  • Configure or assist with site access point(s) for pedestrian traffic using contractor provided traffic cones/similar equipment (portable) and ensure only authorized personnel are granted entry to the construction site.
  • Assist with checking personnel credentials using the government provided construction security access control system and shall deny entry to anyone who has not satisfied requirements for construction site access.
  • Shall maintain a daily (24-hour) written log of Personal Electronic Devices violations, security events, and shall provide the log to the CSM/SSM after shift log entries are completed. Log distribution to other entities is prohibited unless specifically approved by the CSM/SSM.
  • Shall summon emergency vehicles and crews as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS clearance
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Must possess a state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be trained or able to be trained in the basic First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Shall not have any current/pending criminal charges or any misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, acts of dishonesty, assault or battery or felony convictions.
  • Must be able to fluently read, write and speak English.
  • Must be capable of detaining person(s) not to exceed manual verbal manipulation techniques while Security Forces are notified.
  • Must have the ability to construct and write clear, concise and detailed reports.

Additional Requirements

  • Will be required to submit periodic drug tests at the request of the government.
  • Must be willing to undergo a physical examination to determine any conditions that would interfere with full performance of duties.
  • Must be physically able to perform the following functions as part of assigned duties
  • Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, occasional running or sprinting.

Work Environment, Physical Requirements:

  • This is an in-the field position, with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, occasional running or sprinting, capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 15 feet with either ear or without benefit of a hearing aid, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
