What You'll Do
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you'll provide hands - on care to critical patients by:
  • Supporting veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with emergency surgeries and post - operative care
  • Providing emergency nursing care and first aid to injured or recovering patients
  • Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
  • Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including blood pressure, ECG, SpO&sub2;, and EtCO &sub2;
  • Collecting laboratory samples and performing in - house diagnostics
  • Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
  • Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas
  • Mentoring and supporting fellow technicians and assistants
