Job Summary
Small family owned Property Management company is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team! You’ll make sure our rental properties are operating efficiently, regularly inspect our houses for any damage, conduct routine maintenance on our equipment to keep it running smoothly. The ideal person for this job is a reliable individual comfortable with working with others as well as independently.
Responsibilities 
  • Conduct routine maintenance on residential building systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs.
  • Light drywall repair and painting as needed.
  • Assist in small scale remodeling projects as needed.
  • Assist with landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, tree and bush trimming, mulching and weeding. 
  • Perform unit turnovers between residents.
  • Assist management with tasks related to leasing, contractors activities, city housing inspections, etc.
  • Be available for some on-call responsibilities. Infrequent and will come with additional pay.
  • Assist with snow removal as needed.
  • Assist with training and supporting new hires as needed.
  • Maintain, clean and organize company storage areas, vehicles and equipment/tools.
  • Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Must be in decent physical condition and capable of lifting at least 100lbs if needed.
  • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems is a major plus.
  • Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
  • Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends. This will be infrequent and rarely required. On-call activities come with additional pay.
  • Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Posses some comfort in client facing interactions as needed.
  • MUST have a clean Michigan driver's license free of any major violations within the last 5 years.
  • MUST be willing to agree to a standard criminal background check.
